Privacy & Disclosure

Data Processing: this report is sent to Show Me Fire's own API. Cloudflare Turnstile verifies you're human and processes your IP address and device signals for that check; only a one-way hash of your IP is stored, never the address itself.

Public Display: a person reviews every report before anything is published. Approved reports' location, time, acreage, fuel types, and description may appear on public maps and may be used to train fire-danger models. Contact details, photos, and department reports are never published — they're for our review team only.

Retention: your contact info, reporter details, and address details plus the IP hash are deleted within 90 days of review. Approved fire-event details and reviewed media are kept as research data. See our Privacy Policy.
